A poet, memoirist, and fiction writer, Jesse Lee Kercheval is the author of eight books and two chapbooks. Her poetry collection Cinema Muto was selected by David Wojahn for a Crab Orchard Open Selection Award and will be published in the Crab Orchard Poetry Series by the Southern Illinois University Press in 2009.

Jesse Lee Kercheval is Kercheval is currently the Sally Mead Hands Bascom Professor of English and the director of the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing. She was the founding director of the MFA Program in Creative Writing at Wisconsin University. A poet, memoirist, and fiction writer, she is the author of eight books and two chapbooks.
