Art Farnsley is author of Sacred Circles, Public Squares, a 2005 book about religion and community in Indianapolis. Art will discuss the ever-evolving, religious landscape of the city, joined by a panel of religious leaders and scholars. The program aims to understand religion’s changing role in public life. Panelists will discuss issues such as how religion contributes to the creation of social capital in Indianapolis, how faith-based welfare reform works—or doesn't work—in the city, and how religion helps create community in the metropolitan areas many urban, suburban, and ex-urban neighborhoods.
The all-star panel will include:

Dr. James J. Divita
Rev. Richard E. Hamilton
Rev. John L. Lambert
