Whether or not you know the Sikh community, you should make sure you attend this event. KP Singh has assured me that this will be the finest event of the Spirit & Place Festival, and I have never known KP to be wrong.
“At Home through Learning and Sharing,” highlights the things a family or community needs to find a place, nurture its spirit, and move forward. Finding a place we’re comfortable staying may include: creating familiar physical, emotional, and cultural anchors and developing opportunities, rights, and responsibilities, a healthy environment, good neighbors and friends, and a sense of belonging. The program, with a special focus on youth, will feature colorful d
ances, fun enactments, and sacred music; an educational video presentation and panel discussion; hands-on experiences and audience participation; and the sharing of ethnic and favorite refreshments. This family-friendly event is a wonderful opportunity to move into a new experience and stay to make new friends. Donations accepted.Presented by Sikh Satsang of Indianapolis and Acton United Methodist Church. Questions? Call 710-5433 or e-mail cmlighthouse@aol.com
