Nov. 15: Staying at the Heart of Belief, Moving Toward One Another in Openness—An Interfaith Peace-Prayer Service

When: Tuesday 15 November7:30-8:30 PM

Where: Carmelite Monastery, Chapel, 2500 Cold Spring Rd.

Say the organizers of this event, sponsored by Spirit and Place: “In praying with others for peace, we can each become a tiny beacon of hope and light in the strife-ridden world to which we all belong. The aim of an interfaith service is to create respect and mutual reverence for the dignity, integrity, and sincerity of all persons in their approach to God. For every religious tradition “staying” is an interior moment, a fidelity to its understanding of truth, goodness, compassion and unconditional love of God and neighbor. From this point we can move toward one another in openness, service, and life-affirming cooperation.”

Sponsored by: Carmelites of Indianapolis and Marian College Chamber Ensemble. Questions? Call 926-5654 or e-mail linda@praythenews.com

Welcome to IndyBuzz

IndyBuzz provides information about Central Indiana's most stimulating and thought provoking events -- discussions and conferences, art exhibitions, films, music performances. It tells you what's happening … explains why you should be part of what’s happening. More than an events calendar, though, IndyBuzz tries to make events more meaningful for participants by suggesting an article or two to read before the event, recommending books or websites that will be sources of further information after the event, and pointing out related events that are worth attending.

Visit IndyBuzz's sister site, http://www.provocate.org/, which provides a context for the clusters of the events discussed in IndyBuzz.
